Where, What, Who & Why Hinduism???

My discussion wid my folks made me write few lines on Religion...yeah few lines
I met people from all walks of life..from atheistic to hard core relegious...
I believe we have our opinion & beliefs that refelects our experiences, thought level and its uniqueness.

What people say about Veda and is pretty much right and acceptable that it came from generation to generation...



The word VEDA is derived from the ''Dhaatu'' VID which means to know.VEDAM meand a truth (eternal) to be known by all.

The Vedas are believed to be not written by any person .they have been heard by RISHIS (Indian Sages) in their transcendental meditative stage through their Ritambara pragna (A state where the Rishi is able to hear all that is there in the VEADAS and is capable of seeing past,present,future ,sitting in a place with eyes closed.)

This may sound strange to westerners.
These Rishis remembered these truths in the minds as it is with the special intonation they are to be pronounced and later taught to the disciples whom they found fit to recive the knowledge of Vedas as it is Very sacred,

The Ramayana was the first poetic Epic with 24000 verses written by sage valmiki.this too was remembered by the sages for thousands of years.The Maha bharata written by sage Vyas (Veda vyas was a grand epic with 1,00,000 verses.It has all the characters we come across in the life.The BhagavadGeeta is in the Middle of MahaBharata ,it was taught to Prince Arjuna , inthe Kuruksketra battle field by Bhagawan Krishna .it is around 700 verses and is full vedanta that is Philosophy.


These were and are in the brains and hearts of the Holy Rishis.Now we have printing presses and the copies are made available in libraries.but a Master (Sadguru is required toearn all these, otherwise they are so intriguing to undestand and their intonation is difficult to grasp without a Guru and without strenuous practise.
